Global Impact Church is a rapidly growing Christian Ministry located in the Lagos metropolis. The church desired a new brand identity to reflect its mission and global positioning and Alder Consulting was asked to help.
The overall objective was to design brand strategies with long term impact on the church’s programmes, processes and structures.
A critical consideration was why a church should undergo a branding programme. The rationale was clear:
- A church is a mission focused institution and therefore a market facing entity.
- A church must be in tune with the language of its audience to effectively communicate its message. It must be relevant and contemporaneous.
- In line with the concept of the “Logos”, a church must represent the excellent standards of its Principal (Jesus Christ) with its inscriptions, external manifestations and visual brand.

A strategy session held with the senior pastors and key members of the leadership team of the church. At the session, the brand fundamentals including the vision, mission, values, personality and brand essence were defined.
The new brand essence, dianabol effects Think Greatness, captures how GIC’s message directly impacts people and how their lives are turned around for the good of society.

Following the strategy session, a brand strategy document was developed. Two major initiatives that were initiated are a leadership development institute and a human development fund.
A communication strategy was designed to deliver on a key objective of the church: to ensure GIC’s brand promises are propagated and fulfilled in human lives & society. The promises are:

Various programmes and initiatives focused on the brand promises were conceptualised with action plans and timelines.
Visual Identity Development
A new logo, visual identity standards and stationery were designed.
PowerPoint Presentation Templates
The brand architecture prescribed was Graphical Unification, where all the sub-brands share the same colours.
A visual identity manual detailing design specifications and brand rules was developed to guide the use of the logo and visual elements.
Website Strategy Development
GIC’s existing website was reviewed and a web strategy was developed.
A concept document and sitemap were developed to guide the design of the new GIC website.
Social Media Strategy Development
An audit of GIC’s existing social media platforms and initiatives was done. Using the result of the audit, Alder developed a robust social media strategy and implementation plan for GIC.
A social media policy document was scripted to guide volunteers and staff.
The new brand is currently being rolled out by the Global Impact church.
